The Cloud Drift Cowl Kit is an exciting collaboration between designer Gudrun Johnston, Simply Shetland, and Madelinetosh. Gudrun Johnston's design is inspired by Shetland hap shawls, the cowl is worked flat with yarn overs at the edges and then seamed to form the cowl. It features mosaic knitting, a fun colorwork technique without stranding, all on a garter stitch background. Design Inspiration: The simple mosaic design creates a gradient effect reminiscent of Sashiko patterns, highlighting the beauty of Shetland yarn held with a Japanese milled yarn.
Each Cloud Drift Cowl Kit includes:
5 balls of Spindrift: 2 balls of the main color and 1 ball each of the three contrasting colors.
1 skein of Tosh Silk Cloud in Plivver: An exclusive color developed by Madelinetosh. Plivver is the Shetland term for the Golden Plover, a bird known for its earthy golden feathers.
